Amongst the attractions, we will be including journeys over the Devil’s Bridge and Talylln railways, the Aberystwyth Cliff Railway and the scenic coastal route to Barmouth and Pwllheli – join us for our first Break based on the Cambrian Coast.

The Oban Bay Hotel enjoys superb views over the Scottish West Coast Islands, sitting on the edge of Oban’s picturesque Esplanade, commanding a breath taking panorama across Oban to the romantic hills and islands of Scotland’s magnificent west coast. Gaze seaward as the sun slips behind the Hebridean hills and soak up the friendly Highland hospitality, with the opportunity to visit the Isles of Mull, Staffa and Iona, in addition to travelling across Scotland on scenic Highland trains (first class rail travel where available).

Aberdeen is a vibrant and cosmopolitan city characterized by its ornate granite architecture, gardens, parks and its long sandy beach. Amongst the attractions we hope to visit, are the Royal Family’s Scottish retreat Balmoral, the Royal Deeside Railway (with its award-winning Victorian station), the Keith & Dufftown Railway, and the Glen Garioch Distillery.
Thursday 20th June 5 Days THE LAKE DISTRICT
Based at the 3 Star Keswick Country House Hotel – this elegant Victorian building (adjoining the original Keswick Railway Station) stands proudly in four acres of tended gardens and walkways, and offers spectacular views of the surrounding Lake District fells. The Keswick will be our base as we spend our time discovering the many attractions that the Lake District has to offer.
Tuesday 9th July6 Days INVERNESS & ORKNEY
Based at the 3 Star Palace Hotel, in Inverness and the 3 Star Ayre Hotel in Kirkwall - enjoy the magic and history of Orkney, a visit to the Castle of Mey, and the Highland and Far North railways to Inverness and Thurso.
Sat. 27th July 5 Days WE EXPLORE THE NORTH-EAST
Based at the 3 Star Victoria Hotel – set on the delightful village green and overlooked by the magnificent Bamburgh Castle, the hotel offers a high standard of accommodation and fine food within the peaceful Northumberland village of Bamburgh. The hotel was recently awarded 3 stars by the AA, and received a Certificate of Excellence from Trip Advisor. Amongst the attractions we hope to visit are the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, the Farne Islands, Alnwick Castle, and a journey over the World’s Oldest Railway – the Tanfield Railway.
Thursday 5th September 5 Days INVERNESS
Based at one of our favourite hotels, the 3 Star Palace Milton Hotel in Inverness – we take a journey on the famous Jacobite Steam Train between Fort William and Mallaig, and travel over the Kyle of Lochalsh Line with a scenic coach tour across the Isle of Skye, amongst other attractions during the Break.
